Writer Spotlight: Lane Brettschneider

As we gear up for Indie Comics Creator Con, the planning and promotion are kicking into high gear—especially with the holidays and year-end chaos just around the corner. My inbox is overflowing, and the to-do lists are endless, but every time I send out one of these spotlight emails, I get goosebumps. Why? Because I know it’s sparking new connections and inspiring someone out there.
With that, I’m thrilled to welcome Lane Brettschneider back to IC3 for her second appearance!

STARSIDE is an independent sci-fi/fantasy comic series about 16-year-old Jack, who is ripped away from his life on Earth by interplanetary slavers known as Salvans. Jack then embarks on a journey that takes him from a lawless trading outpost to a bustling metropolis and beyond. Co-writers Dylan Klein & Lane Brettschneider and artist Jordan Chao have been working together and publishing via Kickstarter since 2018. The rich lore of STARSIDE's unique worlds and characters will send readers on an extraordinary adventure!
