Ed Piskor was a cartoonist from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, most notably for his works HIP HOP FAMILY TREE, X-MEN GRAND, RED ROOM, and SWITCHBLADE SHORTIES. Ed passed away on April 1, 2024. Since then, the family of Ed Piskor has banded together and created the Ed Piskor Legacy. Since the creation of the Legacy, they have crowdfunded SWITCHBLADE SHORTIES and ran a very successful memorial Eddie P Comic Con, raising money for the 988 Crisis Hotline.
We are honored that Ed’s family will be part of the show! Check out SWITCHBLADE SHORTIES, which only has 16 days left on ZOOP.
SWITCHBLADE SHORTIES was the final finished project that Pittsburgh native Ed Piskor created before his untimely passing. As per Ed's final wishes, the Piskor family has agreed to move forward with the release of this hardcover collection and is making it available exclusively on ZOOP for pre-order!
About SWITCHBLADE SHORTIES:
Before hover parents, children ran wild. The wildest of these feral children were the Switchblade Shorties, operating as a kind of foul-mouthed, irreverent Our Gang: “Sodapop” Tanner, Pinky Winslow, Sheena Belvedere, “Charly Horse” Kinison and Foster Lambert. When their friend Petey Wheatcakes disappears, the Switchblade Shorties turn off their video games and try to find him. Instead, they encounter aliens, Bigfoot, werewolves, and more in this twisted ode to the 1990s - an era before the internet destroyed our imaginations.
Join us for a spectacular day of celebration!
