Artist Spotlight: Eileen Marie

Moving to Connecticut has been an incredible journey, especially discovering the unique comic book scenes across New England. I’ve always believed that geography subtly shapes an artist’s work, and as someone who’s lived all over the U.S., I’m fascinated by the creative influences here. I’m especially eager to chat with Eileen Marie and dive into her perspective on how New England shapes artistic expression.

Eileen Marie studied illustration at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She started her micro press, Battling Maxo, to marry her love of comics and bookbinding—creating limited runs of handmade short stories. She loves markers and can likely be found somewhere in Allston, covered in glue.
